Howdy! I’m Ryan and I am currently a rising freshman at TJHSST. I went to Nysmith School for the Gifted from Pre-K through Eighth Grade and I enjoy learning programming, physics, and calculus. Some of my extracurricular achievements include: winning the Junior Team Tennis regional tennis tournament, qualifying for the NSDA Public Forum National Tournament, and making it to the Math League States competition twice. I am exuberant to be able to teach others about various STEM subjects and debate!

Hi, I'm Anushka! I'm the President of Stepping Stone Tutoring and a senior in the STEM magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School. I am passionate about math and science and in the future, I hope to pursue a career in medicine. I've also been studying Spanish in school for the past 6 years and I love learning both the language and the culture. Outside of school, I enjoy listening to music, playing guitar, and doing Indian classical dance. I also volunteer at Howard University Hospital and serve as the captain of the Blair Debate Team, where I compete and mentor students in public speaking and debate. Through tutoring, I hope to build connections with students and help them grow in the subjects they are studying. I am very excited to meet and work with you all!

Hi! I’m Arnav, and I'm the Vice President of Stepping Stone Tutoring. I am a senior at Montgomery Blair High School. I have a passion for STEM, specifically physics, computer science, and math. I am currently taking multivariable calculus and linear algebra, and am planning on taking the highest level of computer science courses offered at Blair next semester. Outside of academics, I am an active member of the school’s robotics team, in which I am project lead. In my first three years of high school, I was a participant on both the county and national level debate teams for Blair. In the future, I plan on studying computer science with an application in physics or astronomy. Some of my hobbies include guitar, frisbee, and biking. I’m very excited to be part of Stepping Stone, where I am able to help students learn more about what they are passionate about.

Hi there, I'm Hannah, and I'm the director of media! I am currently a junior at Winston Churchill High School. My favorite subjects are math and English. I love reading a variety of books and discussing different issues, whether that about global warming or political science. I am also passionate about all things music from musical theater to the violin! Since middle school, I have performed in musicals, plays, and BLAST concerts within my school. Moreover, I have played the violin for eight years, and have participated in the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra of Strathmore, Young Musicians Inspiring Change, and Potomac Valley Youth Orchestra for many years. In addition, I love working with children and in the past have volunteered at summer camps at church and korean school! I'm so excited to be part of the Stepping Stone Team and work with you all!

Hey! My name is Djenabou Bokoum and I am the Director of Outreach at SST. I am currently a junior at Paint Branch High School, where I am in the medical science career pathway program. My favorite subjects include science and social studies. I love anatomy, as well as learning about different cultures and how our world works. I would like to pursue a career in medicine in the future, as helping others and giving back has always been a passion of mine. I partake in medical science club, the African Student Association, and several different local student advocacy groups in the county. In my free time, I love to read, listen to music, and watch a lot of TV shows. I love working with children and volunteer at my local daycare, where I assist in helping kids with their homework. Through the experience, I have gained great patience, responsibility, and leadership skills. I'm really excited to put those to practice and dive in and work with you all!!

Hello! My name is Anannya Trehan and I am the Director of Operations at SST. I am currently a junior in the STEM magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School. My favorite subjects are math and computer science. I am on the robotics team at Blair and frequently participate in Hackathons throughout the school year. Outside of school, I like to play piano, read, dance, and listen to music. I am passionate about helping people and have a lot of experience teaching young children, as I volunteered at a Montessori day school a couple of years ago and regularly help my little brother with his homework. I graduated from the STEM magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School and I currently attend the University of Maryland at College Park with a major in cell biology and genetics. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, golfing, and biking to chase sunsets. As the former President of SST, I’ve gained insight from various students, tutors, and staff and learned a lot about leading an organization. I hope to use my experience to help SST grow and reach more people in our community. I’m excited to continue my work with Stepping Stone and so grateful for our wonderful team!

Hi! My name is Lyndee Sklute and I am a junior at Winston Churchill High School. I enjoy playing lacrosse, reading books, photography, biking, listening to music, and being with friends and family! My favorite subjects in school are everything with math, science, literature, and government! I aspire to be in a computer science or psychology field! Besides learning at school, I am the creator of the Voice for Silenced club, with a mission to advocate for victims of abuse! Also, I really love kids, so weekly babysitting is one of my favorite activities. I also have enjoyed being a summer counselor at the Bullis Summer Camp and my local synagogue for the past 3 Summers. Being the vice president and past communications manager in my Jewish youth group has taught me how to be a proper leader. I also work seasonally at a local bakery near by, which has taught me patience and efficiency. Overall, I am super eager to use all my skills and teach kids in an educational and fun way.. I will strive to create a comfortable environment where all students feel welcome and able to ask questions!

I love music and film as I mentioned earlier planes. At the moment I've participated in Book Wars and I'm slated to compete in several orienteering and rifle team and drone piloting competitions for Gaithersburg NJROTC. Hi! My name is Alec Kong, and I’m a sophomore at Maret School. My favorite topic in school is history, particularly modern history and modern military history, which have been lifelong passions of mine. I find it very interesting how countries and groups of people interact with each other and how this sometimes leads to conflicting beliefs and ideas. I am also part of the Model U.N. team at my school, and I also enjoy attending my school’s Quiz Bowl Club meetings. I also am the leader of the Geoguessr Club at my school, which is one of my hobbies that involves playing an online geography guessing game. My hobbies include reading, driving, listening to music, and playing ultimate frisbee. I hope to work for the foreign service in the State Department sometime in the future. Hello! My name is Wilson Faucette, and I'm very excited to help you better understand content from school, or expand on what you already know. I am a current 9th Grader (Class of 2026) at Walter Johnson High School, where I lead a Multisport Club and work with our school's School Energy and Recycling Team.
